THE WOLF AMONG US

Featuring the voice talents of Adam Harrington, Erin Yvette, Melissa Hutchison, Kevin Howarth and many others is THE WOLF AMONG US from TELL TALE GAMES and based on the comic FABLES from VERTIGO. The game is a well imaginative and set in a world with folklore, nursery rhyme and fairy tale characters in New York city. In the center of the game, the character Bigby Wolf (Adam Harrington) is Sheriff of Fabletown at the Woodlands. Fabletown has its own set of rules and the one that is constantly pointed out is to hide all non human characters, such as Mr.Toad, trolls, Grendel, etc. by using a glamour; a magic that can run expensive to hide true form. If you don't follow this rule it's to the farm with you. Bigby starts his first case at Toad's apartments where Woody (the Woodsman) is fighting with a prostitute by the name of Faith. Once you fight Woody as Bigby you speak with Faith outside. Though it feels all of Fabletown has it out for Bigby and the way he keeps order, Faith assures him that he's not as bad as they say he is. She walks away and Bigby returns to his apartment to visit with Colin, a pig, whom Bigby Wolf owes a lot to since they were run out of the homelands, by blowing his house down. After all that, they've became good friends. Colin is never glamoured but pretty much stays in the apartment, never walking among the others on the streets. Once asleep, Bigby Wolf is awakened by a loud knocking on the door by Snow White who more or less is the secretary of Fabletown with a creepy Ichabod Crane running the show at the office. Snow White, who Wolf has a soft spot for, brings him downstairs. There, on the step outside, is a coat covering up a bloody spot. After removing it, Faith's head is revealed. Inside her mouth is a ribbon, once worn around her neck, with a ring tied to it. It's a message and only the opening chapter to a who-dunnit-in-Fabletown mystery. So who is committing these crimes and who is mainly responsible? Filled with twists and turns, interesting characters, great voice actors and disturbing yet incredible art, is a game and story you won't forget. It's addicting and hard to put the controller down. I've played this game twice in a row because there are different outcomes with the choices and dialogue you choose. You'll tell your friends about this one for sure.

A+ for wonderful gameplay, story, character development, entertainment value, originality and art. Simply amazing!

THE WALKING DEAD (Season 2)

THE WALKING DEAD is yet another goodie brought to you by TELL TALE GAMES. Season 2 starts with a slightly older Clem (voiced by Melissa Hutchinson) who plays by the rules Lee had once taught her. In this sequel, we are introduced to many new characters such as Nick, Luke, Pete, Carlos and Rebecca in the first episode. Clem doesn't have it very easy considering right off the bat, with zombies aside, the people she may align herself up with aren't exactly all open arms after mistaking a dog bite as a zombie bite. Thinking she is infected, she is placed in a shed outside the cabin the others stay in. She must sneak inside so she can treat the wound. Inside, she meets a young girl named Sarah, Carlos the doctor's daughter, who is the only one who seems to want to help. She gets what she needs and sneaks out back to fix it herself, fights a zombie and then everyone feels bad. Clem takes it better than I would have. If these people locked me up in a shed, almost getting me killed, I'd keep my distance. Later on in the game you'll be dealt with some choices to help or destroy relationships and there will be unfixable outcomes to those decisions. But it isn't until you meet Carver (voiced by Michael Madsen) in A House Divided (episode 2) that things really get interesting. You can be helpful or not with the questions he asks but overall you are best to keep Sarah safe who is alone in the house with you when he shows up. He tells you that you don't know the people you are protecting. I say, you don't know this asswipe either and trust your gut. This is where the game truly takes off and the story gets interesting. There is so much going on in episodes 2 and 3 that you'll sit there and be amazed at how far Clem has come and just why Clem is always the one sent to clean up the mess these others have made. You'll see when you play. Clem puts up with a lot. My favorite part is when an old character from season 1 comes back. I cried and my husband laughed. Upon seeing him, I couldn't resist but to give this character a hug and even at the end, my loyalty was with him. Whether you choose to do the same it is entirely up to you. Never the less, I get attached to the characters and as gritty as TELL TALE GAMES are they really are beautiful. You get lost in the graphics.

A- for story, characters, action, gameplay and for bringing my favorite character back. Just a really good game to get sucked into. Hello! Zombies! Doesn't get any better than that. If you haven't played season 1 of THE WALKING DEAD do it! It's simply fantastic.
